Feeding the New Haven Community

Weekday Lunches @ 84 Broadway

Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:00am-1:00pm.

Rain or shine, we serve lunch in our main dining room at 84 Broadway as well as take-out meals for anyone interested in taking their meals to go. Each meal includes a hot main dish, cooked vegetable, fresh garden salad, bread, dessert, and coffee or tea. Our guests are invited to take home extra fresh vegetables and bread, as needed.

Saturday Breakfast @ 84 Broadway

Every Saturday from 8:00am-9:00am.

We serve breakfast in our main dining room at 84 Broadway. Breakfast includes hot and cold cereal, applesauce, granola bars, raisins, pastries, a meat dish, eggs, fruit, yogurt, coffee, milk, and juice. We are lucky to welcome a group of core volunteers from local high schools for every Saturday breakfast.

We serve breakfast every Saturday year-round with no holiday exceptions.

Closing the Meal Gap — Neighborhood Meal Programs

In 2025, CSK launched its three-year “Closing the Meal Gap” strategic plan to expand meal service into the New Haven neighborhoods most affected by food insecurity. Through this plan, CSK now operates meal programs in five distinct neighborhoods, with additional locations planned for 2026 and 2027.

CSK @ Newhallville — 5 Hazel Street

CSK’s first sub-agency location operates at 5 Hazel Street in the Newhallville neighborhood, where we serve approximately 230 take-out meals per day, Monday through Friday. Guests can also register for the CSK Public Shower Program and access additional health and social services. In 2025, CSK@Newhallville served over 38,000 meals.

CSK @ The Hill — 33 Lamberton Street

Launched in March 2025 in partnership with The Springs Church, CSK@The Hill has grown from 25 meals per day to 150 meals per day. In 2025, this location served over 18,000 meals.

CSK @ Fair Haven — 75 Hamilton Street

In partnership with IRIS (Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services), CSK operates a 5,000-square-foot food warehouse and distribution center at 75 Hamilton Street. The food pantry serves over 650 families each week. Beginning in April 2025, CSK added hot meal service at this location and served over 4,700 hot meals before the end of the year. In total, CSK’s support at 75 Hamilton accounted for over 120,000 meals being served to the Fair Haven community in 2025.

CSK @ Dixwell — St. Martin de Porres

In partnership with Blessed Michael McGivney Parish, CSK provides breakfast service at St. Martin de Porres Church on both Tuesday and Thursday mornings. This location also supports the Yale Community Kitchen (YCK@CSK) partner program, through which Yale Hospitality donates food that is prepared and served to guests in the Dixwell community.

Coming in 2026: CSK @ Fair Haven

CSK will open its newest location in early 2026 in partnership with Blessed Michael McGivney Parish in Fair Haven. This new location will feature dine-in and take-out meal service alongside expanded food preparation capacity in a fully refurbished commercial kitchen. Volunteers are needed to assist with the buildout. Please contact [email protected] or call (203) 624-4594 if you would like to help.

In partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Tau Xi Omega Chapter, through the CHIPP™ (Childhood Hunger Initiative Packing Program), CSK has expanded its commitment to fighting childhood hunger. In 2025, we increased our weekend meal service from 240 to 400 meals per weekend, now serving 100 children each week — up from 60 the prior year. The program served 8,260 meals in 2025, a 44% increase, ensuring that fewer children in the Greater New Haven area go hungry on weekends when school lunches are unavailable.
