Each year during Lent, Holy Infant Church serves simple meal of soup, bread, coffee, and tea to raise awareness for hunger and food inequality in New Haven and beyond. Soups are donated from the parishioners of Holy Infant Church and from local restaurants. All proceeds are generously donated to the Community Soup Kitchen.
Bishop Juan Miguel Betancourt Torres SEMV, the newly-appointed titular bishop of Curzola and auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Hartford, will speak at this year’s Hunger Meal. Bishop Betancourt’s biography is available here.
